Now that all six stations are open on the Northumberland Line and track works have been completed, we won't be sharing any future "business as usual" works that Network Rail carry out along the line. Engineering Works at Bedlington on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August - CANCELLED
We've just been advised by Network Rail today that the planned engineering works on the Northumberland Line for this coming Saturday night and Sunday morning (8th & 9th August) have now been postponed. This means that trains will run as normal and to the usual Sunday timetable. There are engineering works in late September and we'll share the details on those as soon as they're confirmed. Engineering Works in Bedlington
Engineering works are planned on the Northumberland Line during the morning of Sunday 9th August 2026. Works will be taking place on the track at Bedlington and buses will replace trains between Ashington and Newsham, with trains then running between Newsham and Newcastle on the usual Sunday timetable. Buses will leave Ashington at 08:02, 09:02, 10:02 & 11:02 for Newsham and the first train will be at 12:38 towards Newcastle & Metrocentre. Buses will leave Bedlington at 08:1

A Day Out To Make A Difference
To celebrate them becoming Newsham Station adopters, Blyth Rotary are raising funds for Rotary International’s own charity “End Polio Now - Purple for Polio”.
