As we get closer to Bedlington station opening on Sunday 29th March 2026, we're taking a look back at the old station and sharing some images from the new look station. The original station opened on the 3rd August 1850 and only had a fairly limited service to Newcastle, with a timetable from 1863 showing a timetable of 4 trains per day in each direction and a journey time of around 90 minutes. We'll share details on the timetable a little nearer the time and ticket prices are shown on our website now, with tickets going on sale around 2 weeks before the station opens. In order to facilitate road surfacing works around the new Bedlington Station, please be advised that overnight temporary road closures will be in place from Thursday 19th February 2026 until Thursday 26th February 2026 between the hours of 9:00pm – 6:00am each evening.
