Potential Service Disruption (23rd to 26th October 2026)

We're sharing that there is a potential for disruption to rail services over this weekend due to predicted storm conditions.
The advice from Northern is for customers to check their website before they travel for the latest information.
To try and keep trains running on time, some stations may only receive an hourly service in each direction. As an example, today's service (23rd October) off peak is seeing trains only calling hourly northbound at Blyth Bebside and southbound trains only calling hourly at Northumberland Park.
We appreciate that this isn't ideal, but it is better than cancelling services throughout.
