Overnight works will be taking place on the platforms at Bedlington station from Monday 27th April for up to 2 weeks to allow for cable labeling works to take place at lighting columns. The works will happen between 11pm and 6am (between the last train departing and the first train running the following morning). The works are not expected to be noisy.

Following the changes made to Nexus Pop Fares from 1st April 2026, some of the rail only fares have also been revised on the Northumberland Line. The positive is that rail only fares for 3 or 4 zone journeys have been reduced. We're sharing that there will be some changes to the Pop fares that are available on the Northumberland Line and Tyne & Wear Metro from 1 st April 2026. From Monday 23rd March, Arriva will provide a new peak time bus link to serve the Northumberland Line station at Blyth Bebside. The new route 3 will run from Blyth Bus Station to Blyth Bebside station via Newsham Road, Isabella, Cowpen Shops, Briardale Road, Blyth Community College, Bebside Middle School and Bebside Interchange.
