Revised Service on 26th & 27th September 2026

We've shared previously that there were engineering works that would disrupt trains on the Northumberland Line on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2026.

The plans have now changed and train services will run as normal for most of the day on Saturday 26th September, with the last train from Newcastle running at 16:25 to Ashington and the last train from Ashington running at 17:07 to Newcastle. Later journeys will then be rail replacement buses between Ashington and Northumberland Park, with rail ticket acceptance on the Tyne & Wear Metro between Northumberland Park and Newcastle (and vice-versa).

A full train service will run on Sunday 27th September.
