Overnight Track Works at Blyth Bebside
Network Rail will be undertaking track maintenance works in the Blyth Bebside area using a machine called a Tamper, which is used to make sure the track is level. Crane Removal at Northumberland Park
The preparation work for the crane removal is progressing well and this will reopen the Algernon Drive bridge to pedestrians. We are also making good progress on working towards completing the construction of the station. Bedlington Station Construction - Drop In Event on Thursday 23rd October 2025
The Northumberland Line team will be holding a public information drop-in session on Thursday 23 October 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at East Bedlington Community Centre, 16 Station Street, Bedlington, NE22 7JN. Members of the team delivering the project, including Northumberland County Council and stations contractor Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, will be available to speak to about the construction works. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DROP IN EVENT AND NOT A PRESENTATION EVENT.

EV Charging at Northumberland Line Stations
Electric car charging is now available at Ashington, Blyth Bebside, Newsham and Seaton Delaval stations on the Northumberland Line. There are instructions on each of the chargers, along with a QR code to buy charging time. The chargers are 7.4KW and cost £0.57 per KWh and you can either choose to charge until your car is full or select by the KWh for your charge. Parking is free for EV cars on charge at Northumberland Line stations.

Virtual careers room launches for Northumberland SEND Schools
