Almost a million reasons why the Northumberland Line is a success
A year to the day since it opened, the Northumberland Line is proving more popular than ever. New Northumberland Line Timetable from Sunday 14th December
The timetable for trains on the Northumberland Line will change from Sunday 14th December 2025. The new timetable will see trains on Mondays to Saturdays generally run around 7 minutes later than they do now in each direction. On Sundays, the trains will generally run around 2 minutes later than they do currently. We'll also see a new later train from Newcastle to Ashington at 23.21 on Mondays to Saturdays which will improve night out opportunities along the line, with this

EV Charging at Northumberland Line Stations
Electric car charging is now available at Ashington, Blyth Bebside, Newsham and Seaton Delaval stations on the Northumberland Line. There are instructions on each of the chargers, along with a QR code to buy charging time. The chargers are 7.4KW and cost £0.57 per KWh and you can either choose to charge until your car is full or select by the KWh for your charge. Parking is free for EV cars on charge at Northumberland Line stations.

Blyth Fireworks - Saturday 1st November

Blyth Bebside is officially open !
Blyth Bebside - the latest station to be completed on the Northumberland Line - has been officially opened. The first service rolled out of the new station shortly after 8.30am on Sunday, October 19th to the delight of local residents and train enthusiasts. From Blyth Bebside, customers will be able to travel to Newcastle in under 30 minutes, paying just £2.10 for an off-peak single ticket and £4.20 for a return. A Final Push for Ashington in the World Cup Of Stations
We're getting to the final stages of the World Cup of Stations and we're really hopeful that Ashington can take the crown. World Cup of Stations We've spoken to a World Cup winner in England cricketing legend Mark Wood and he'd love your vote for his home town - Ashington. Bedlington Station Construction - Drop In Event on Thursday 23rd October 2025
The Northumberland Line team will be holding a public information drop-in session on Thursday 23 October 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at East Bedlington Community Centre, 16 Station Street, Bedlington, NE22 7JN. Members of the team delivering the project, including Northumberland County Council and stations contractor Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, will be available to speak to about the construction works. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DROP IN EVENT AND NOT A PRESENTATION EVENT.

Off Peak Roadworks on Rotary Road
From Monday 24th November, there will be some off peak roadworks and pedestrian walkway closures on Rotary Road, close to the Northumberland Park station construction site. The works will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays only and are expected to be complete by 12th December. There will be a southbound lane and pedestrian footway closure during the works (shown in blue on the picture).
