Mobility Scooters now permitted on Northern Trains
We're sharing some great news from Northern Trains as mobility scooters can now be carried on their trains. Customers who want to travel with a mobility scooter need to apply for a permit and that needs to be a permit plus for users in the North East. Engineering Works - 19th/20th & 26th/27th September
On the weekends of the 19th/20th and 26th/27th September, train services on the Northumberland Line will be suspended due to engineering works. A rail replacement bus service will run between Ashington and Northumberland Park (via all stations), with customers then changing onto the Tyne & Wear Metro for journeys into Newcastle City Centre. Engineering Works at Bedlington on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August - CANCELLED
We've just been advised by Network Rail today that the planned engineering works on the Northumberland Line for this coming Saturday night and Sunday morning (8th & 9th August) have now been postponed. This means that trains will run as normal and to the usual Sunday timetable. There are engineering works in late September and we'll share the details on those as soon as they're confirmed.
