Then & Now - Bedlington

As we get closer to Bedlington station opening on Sunday 29th March 2026, we're taking a look back at the old station and sharing some images from the new look station. The original station opened on the 3rd August 1850 and only had a fairly limited service to Newcastle, with a timetable from 1863 showing a timetable of 4 trains per day in each direction and a journey time of around 90 minutes. Overnight Road Surfacing Works in Bedlington
