Celebrating International Women's Day

We're celebrating International Women's Day on the Northumberland Line.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure: Rail recently hosted the second Women into Construction NE placements on the Northumberland Line Project. The ‘WiC NE’ programme is designed to support women in the North East looking to explore a career within construction. The candidates were offered an invaluable insight into the industry, with an opportunity to experience all aspects of the project, including Social Value, Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Quality and Document Control, Engineering and Site Supervision. The impressive feedback speaks for itself:

“The people I met were lovely at every level and no one seemed to mind spending time with me or when I asked questions. It was a nice environment to learn in”.

And from the Women into Construction Team:

“On behalf of Women into Construction, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your invaluable contribution to our project. Your openness and inclusivity towards our women have made a profound impact, and we wish to express our sincerest appreciation.

From the enlightening site visit to the successful work placement of Vikki, your generosity in sharing your expertise and time has not gone unnoticed. We understand the demands of your roles and truly value the commitment you've shown in engaging with our participants.

Your dedication to fostering a more equitable and diverse workforce is commendable. Through your actions, you are at the forefront of progress, paving the way for a future where opportunities are abundant for all. For this, we cannot thank you enough.”
