To allow for an upgrade to the level crossing at Bebside, the A193 will be closed to all traffic (including pedestrians) from 8pm on Saturday 27th May until 5am on Wednesday 31st May.
A diversion will be signposted for all traffic and a free shuttle bus will run between Heather Lea and Bebside Interchange (Asda) for pedestrians and this will connect with Arriva bus services at Bebside Interchange (Asda) for bus customers to travel towards Blyth or Newcastle. The free shuttle bus will stop at all stops from Heather Lea to Bebside Interchange via Horton Manor.
The Arriva X9 will be diverting via the A189 from Bebside Interchange to Boghouses during the closure.
