Great Work in November

We've had a lot of construction activity taking place during November, including new bridges at Newsham, but as well as those projects, there's a lot going on in the community.

Here are our highlights;

  • Supported the "Wonder Challenge" which is a competition for year 9 & 10 students run by the Northern Counties Builders Federation in schools to design a sustainable transport system.

  • Arranged a visit to Haltwhistle for stakeholders from Bedlington to look at station building restorations completed.

  • Started delivery of school safety sessions to schools that are within 2 miles of the Northumberland Line.

  • Held a drop in event at Newsham to look at project progress.

  • Supported North Tyneside Learning Trust's Careers Live event and engaged with 112 people.

  • Supported "Portraits of Blyth" project with interviews with two staff from Morgan Sindall who are working on the bridge construction project.

  • Morgan Sindall won an award for their Mental Health First Aider training which has been delivered to 85 delegates across Northumberland and North Tyneside.
