Roadworks at Newsham to complete early

We posted back on the 14th April 2025 about roadworks on the west side of the station at Newsham. The works were due to be completed on Saturday 3rd May with the new road layout for the next set of roundabout removal works, with the good news being that the work will be completed and the new road layout implemented overnight on Wednesday 30th April. This means that the works will be completed on the early morning of Thursday 1st May 2025.

Really?!

How come the lumps and bumps were still there tonight around the roundabout to the rail bridge approaching from the West then?

Can you explain why the tarmac hasn't been finished yet please?

How long does it have to take to get a tiny section of road finished off?

There's still further phases of roadworks to complete on the west side of the station at Newsham and once they're completed, the roads will be surfaced - the works are expected to be complete during the summer
