Details of the work site in Newsham are summarised below.

Works started in September to create an operational base for Northumberland Line contractor Morgan Sindall.

This involved site clearance and demolition of Arden House to the south of South Newsham Road to create space for the new station and the car park.

Site cabins were lifted into place.
