On Sunday 19th October, we'll welcome Blyth Bebside to the Northumberland Line - the 2,598th station on the rail network. Take a look around the rail network's newest rail station and we look forward to welcoming new passengers when the station opens on Sunday morning. We're getting to the final stages of the World Cup of Stations and we're really hopeful that Ashington can take the crown. World Cup of Stations We've spoken to a World Cup winner in England cricketing legend Mark Wood and he'd love your vote for his home town - Ashington. We've also spoken to Ashington's County Councillor, Caroline Ball and she'd love you to vote for Ashington too.

The Northumberland Line team will be holding a public information drop-in session on Thursday 23 October 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at East Bedlington Community Centre, 16 Station Street, Bedlington, NE22 7JN. Members of the team delivering the project, including Northumberland County Council and stations contractor Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, will be available to speak to about the construction works. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DROP IN EVENT AND NOT A PRESENTATION EVENT.
