Works Continuing on Front Street, Bebside

Further to our recent news posts, we are continuing with the works to upgrade Front Street and Errington Street as our progress was impacted by the recent poor weather.

The remainder of the highways and footway work will now take place over the next month in the lead up to the opening of the Blyth Bebside station and includes:

• Resurfacing of roads.

• White lining of the roads.

• The installation and commissioning of the new traffic light signals for the station.

We will aim to carry out these using temporary lane closures with temporary traffic lights to minimise disruption. There maybe some occasions where we need to close sections the highway, however marshals will be in place to ensure local access is maintained. There will also be a footway diversion for pedestrians throughout these works. Access for emergency vehicles will be provided at all times.
