Backtrack competition

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

Backtrack are running a competition which aims to reduce the amount of trespass on the UKs railways.

This award-winning competition is now back for its third year running. It was awarded best project involving children and young people at the Community Rail Awards on the 9th December 2021.

This year the competition is open up till 30th September 2022.

The competition is asking entrants to create a simple but powerful message, to make others aware of the dangers of trespassing and to encourage them to stop.

There are 2 options:

  1. Film yourself saying why you would not trespass on the railway (also known as a pledge) using the pledge card on this website.

  2. Design a small graphic/picture sharing 1 rail safety message, this should be about the size of a postcard so that it can be shared on social media.
