Works to demolish the existing north station platform at Bedlington station will take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October. This work will take place between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00. The demolition of the existing platform is necessary in order to allow track upgrade works, ensuring the line is compliant with current railway standards for safety and accessibility.
What to expect during the works
During this period residents can expect to see plant movements, along with wagon deliveries and/ or collections between the above working hours. We will make every effort to reduce dust and vibration throughout, and all our contractors will endeavour to reduce noise as much as possible. All staff undertaking the works will be readily identifiable as they will be wearing orange hi-visibility jackets and trousers.
