The works on South Newsham Road in Blyth continue and testing works on the water main are now taking place. It may not look like there's anyone working at the site, as the testing phase just requires occasional monitoring, but the team need access to the water pipe so that testing can take place.
The contractor is aiming to remove the works for the weekend to help the traffic flow a little better for those attending the Fireworks display in Blyth on Saturday night.
The traffic lights will then be re-installed on Monday morning (6th November).
