Information Event for Bedlington

Our next station (& last for now) on the Northumberland Line to open will be Bedlington on Sunday 29th March 2026.

Ahead of the reintroduction of the passenger service at this station, you're invited you to join us on Monday 23rd March 2026 at East Bedlington Community Centre, 16-17 Station Road, Bedlington from 5.30pm to 7.30pm for an information event.

The event will be a drop in, so call in any time between 5.30pm and 7.30pm to ask questions about the station and the new rail service that Northern will be providing. So, if there's any questions on the timetable, the fares, cycle parking, walking routes to the station, then this is your chance to ask.

We'll also have some of the project team on hand to answer any questions on the remaining works around the station.

Nexus will also be on hand to answer any questions on Pop cards and integrated fares with the Tyne & Wear Metro.

In the opening week of the station, we'll also be hosting two events to encourage residents to cycle to the new station at Bedlington.

The events will be on Tuesday 31st March and Thursday 2nd April and run from 10am to 2pm, so pop along with any questions on cycling and cycle parking at the station, plus there's some equipment giveaways too.

Dr Bike will also be on hand to offer a free check up on your bike.
