In order to complete works to the new roundabouts on South Newsham Road (A1061) to the west and east of the Newsham station, works will need to take place which will require full road closures. This is to allow the team to safely undertake works to construct the new road layout, including surfacing and white lining.
Traffic management and diversion routes
The surfacing for the new west roundabout will require full road closures each night between the hours 8pm to 6am from Monday 20 May 2024 to Thursday 23 May 2024. During this period vehicles will be diverted via A192 (Seaton Delaval, A190 (to Seaton Sluice), A193 (Links Road). The diversion is indicated by the green and blue route on the map in Image 2 at the end of this letter. Please note pedestrian access will be maintained throughout.

Summer ends August 31. Will it be open by then? or are we now looking at Autumn/Winter? Progress at Newsham seems awfully slow to me.
