Roadworks on Front Street at Blyth Bebside

The highways upgrade works are being completed in phases, with the next phase of temporary traffic management (TM) starting from Monday 24 March 2025 and expected to last until June 2025. These works will be broken down into the following work activities.

1.     Full 24/7 road closure on Furnace Road, with access maintained for residents only.

2.  Multi-phase traffic lights controlling traffic on Front Street from between the junction with Heather Lea and Kid’s Town. Please see image below for works area (marked in red).

We do appreciate the disruption and inconvenience these works will cause to local residents and we apologise for impacts these works may have. We are contacting those residents whose access to their properties will be directly impacted in order to manage their specific requirements.

Parking on Errington Street and access to businesses

We again request your assistance in maintaining our access to the site to allow us to complete our works.

During the work to upgrade Errington Street, we are able to maintain access to the business premises for the majority of vehicles. However, we are unable to accommodate any parking on Errington Street itself. In order for us to progress as safely and as quickly as possible, we must request people refrain from parking on Errington Street.

We do appreciate this may cause inconvenience to your business operations and alternative parking is available on Mansel Terrace, a short distance away.
