Traffic Management at Blyth Bebside (7th to 17th May)

From Tuesday 7 May 2024 until Friday 17 May 2024 temporary traffic management in the form of 3-way traffic signals will be in place to control traffic from Front Street on to Errington Street. This is essential to protect public and staff during these works and to ensure two-way vehicular access to Errington Street is maintained.

This may potentially cause some short delays for traffic entering and exiting Heather Lea, and we apologise for any disruption this may cause. The temporary traffic lights will be monitored by the Traffic Management contractor. Errington Street highways works are programmed to be undertaken from now until the end of the project.

The second phase to install below ground drainage system tanks is now underway, and our works located at the entrance of Errington Street have reduced the entrance from Front Street to a single lane width.

The purpose of the tanks is to capture and safely manage any surface water on Errington Street and is an essential part of the drainage upgrade required for Blyth Bebside station.

Future phases of highways works on Errington Street and Front Street will be communicated as works progress.
