We're getting to the final stages of the World Cup of Stations and we're really hopeful that Ashington can take the crown. World Cup of Stations We've spoken to a World Cup winner in England cricketing legend Mark Wood and he'd love your vote for his home town - Ashington. We've also spoken to Ashington's County Councillor, Caroline Ball and she'd love you to vote for Ashington too.

The Northumberland Line team will be holding a public information drop-in session on Thursday 23 October 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at East Bedlington Community Centre, 16 Station Street, Bedlington, NE22 7JN. Members of the team delivering the project, including Northumberland County Council and stations contractor Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, will be available to speak to about the construction works. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DROP IN EVENT AND NOT A PRESENTATION EVENT.

A huge thank you to everyone who has voted for Ashington so far in the World Cup of Stations for 2025. You've got until 23.59 on Friday 17th October 2025 to cast your vote and Ashington is currently sitting 2nd in the public vote. World Cup of Stations Ashington has a history of creating World Cup winners and let's see if we can add another trophy for the town.
