Northumberland Line - A View From Above

As the project progresses, we've been sharing drone footage pictures to show the progress at each of the station sites. Here's the latest images from 5 of the 6 stations and we'll get some pictures from Bedlington once the construction works ramp up in the coming weeks.

Ashington - the station site is pretty much complete, including the installation of cycling shelters, platform waiting areas, station signage and the ticket vending machine.

Blyth Bebside - the site is taking shape and you can see the line of the base for the platforms going into place along with the construction of the car park and pathways towards the new pedestrian/cycling bridge that will be installed on the 3rd & 4th August.

Newsham - the station platforms are now in place, along with the waiting shelters on the platform and some of the lamp & CCTV posts are in place. The final surfacing works on the new road bridge were taking place ahead of it opening on the evening of the 1st August.

Seaton Delaval - again, the platform has been installed along with waiting shelters and some of the other infrastructure for customers on the platform. Car park construction is well underway.

Northumberland Park - The mining mitigation works are now moving to track level and once that has been completed, platform construction can commence. The site has changed a lot in the past few weeks with excavation works between the track and the second level of the construction base.
